HC Deb 01 August 1908 vol 193 cc2084-5
MR. BOLAND (Kerry, S.)

To ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether his attention has been called to the decision given by the Liverpool stipendary magistrate in the prosecution against the Condensed Milk Company of Ireland; and whether, with a view to safeguarding the interests of genuine Irish products, he will state what further steps, if any, will be taken in this matter by the Public Prosecutor.

(Answered by Sir Edward Strachey.) My hon. friend has asked me to reply to this Question. The proceedings were taken at the instance of the Board of Agriculture, who propose forthwith to confer with the Irish Department as to the steps to be taken in the position which has arisen.
