I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland what has been the number of vacancies in the office of resident magistrate in Ireland since 1st January, 1906; and whether the vacancies have all been filled.

Since 1st January, 1906, four vacancies have occurred in the office of resident magistrate. Three new appointments have been made in respect of these vacancies, and one resident magistrate's station has been abolished.
