§ Resolved, That it is expedient to authorise the imposition of an ad valorem stamp duty on the statement of the amount contributed or to be contributed by a limited partner, or of any increase in such amount, of five shillings for every one hundred pounds and any fraction of one hundred pounds over any multiple of one hundred pounds of the amount so contributed or to be con- 240 tributed or of the increase of that amount, as the case may be, in pursuance of any Act of the present session to establish Limited Partnerships; and to make provision for recovery of such stamp duty, with interest thereon, in pursuance of such Act.—(Mr. Burns.)
