HC Deb 30 May 1907 vol 175 c98
MR. CLELAND (Glasgow, Bridgeton)

I beg to ask the Prime Minister whether the Government will consider the advisability of introducing a time limit to speeches in the Standing Committees.

THE PRIME MINISTER AND FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY (Sir H. Camp-bell-Bannerman, Stirling Burghs)

I am personally in favour of limiting the time of speeches both in the House and in Standing Committees, but I can see no chance of taking any practical steps in this direction at present.
