§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. GLADSTONE,) Leeds, W.The number of accidents in the Metropolis known to the Police to have been caused in the streets by motor cars, motor cycles and motor omnibuses during the six months ended the 30th April last is 4,451. Of these accidents personal injury resulted in 1,175 cases, and fatal injury in forty-one cases.
