MR. BROOKE (Tower Hamlets, Bow and Bromley)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether he is considering the advisability of granting to blue-jackets the same advantages with regard to a free kit as are now given to soldiers and marines; and, if so, when he will announce the Admiralty's decision on the matter.

The, Admiralty have considered this question, and decided that it is not feasible to introduce the change at the present time.
