To ask the Secretary of State for War whether trained Volunteers who enlist in the nucleus third battalion or special contingent will † See (4) Debates, clxxiv., 933. join as recruits; or whether their previous: training will be taken into account.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) The previous training of Volunteers who enlist into the nucleus third battalions will be taken into account when the amount of training they will have to undergo is determined.
