HC Deb 16 May 1907 vol 174 c1085
MR. COURTHOPE (Sussex, Rye)

To ask the Postmaster-General whether the charge for postage of post cards from Cyprus to the United Kingdom is one piastre (about 1⅓pence), while the charge for letters is only one penny and, if so, whether he will take immediate steps to remove this inequality.

(Answered by Mr, Sydney Buxton.) The Cyprus Post Office is not under my control. I am aware of the anomaly, and have reason to believe that the question of removing it is occupying the attention of the Colonial authorities.
