HC Deb 15 May 1907 vol 174 c932
MR. MYER (Lambeth, N.)

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether during the early part of the year a Home Office official was deputed to make an inspection of various post offices in the City of London, with respect to their sanitary condition; and, if so, whether his Report is now ready for publication.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Gladstone.) In January last, at the request of my right hon. friend the Postmaster-General, I instructed one of His Majesty's Inspectors of Factories to inspect and report upon certain post offices in the City of London. His Report was transmitted to the Postmaster-General last month. It is for the Postmaster-General to decide what subsequent steps shall be taken.
