HC Deb 15 May 1907 vol 174 c941
MR. CLAUDE HAY (Shoreditch, Hoxton)

To ask the Secretary to the Treasury how much of the net increment of £6,000 in the Estimates for Customs is due to increments of salary; how many officers have received an increase of salary, and the amount by which the salary of each official has been increased; and the number of officers whose salaries have not been affected by the revision effected under the Estimate.

(Answered by Mr. Runciman.) I find that the preparation of the information required by the hon. Member, so far as it is not available from the published volume of the Estimates, would take a far greater amount of time and labour than I feel justified in authorising, but the Board of Customs inform me that they will be happy to furnish the hon. Member with any particulars regarding individual officers which can be properly and readily given.
