HC Deb 15 May 1907 vol 174 cc962-3
MR. WEDGWOOD (Newcastle-under-Lyme)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Education what immediate steps he proposes to take with a view to obtaining expert opinion as to the advisability of establishing a permanent medical department at the Board of Education, seeing that this matter was not considered by the Inter-Departmental Committee on Medical Inspection two years ago, and seeing that no information concerning any other expert advice is available for consideration by this House.

MR. MCKENNA

I can assure my hon. friend that experts have not failed to give me the great advantage of their advice upon this question. The opinions which I have received from them are by no means wanting in variety.
