I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War if it has yet been decided whether a walking-out uniform for the territorial soldier is to be provided at the public cost or not.

MR. HALDANE

It is contemplated to take money in the Estimates for the provision of a walking-out dress for the territorial soldier.

What additional sum will it add to the Estimate?

MR. HALDANE

I cannot say.

Has no calculation been made?

MR. HALDANE

Yes.

Then surely the right hon. Gentleman can say how it will affect the Estimate.
