HC Deb 10 May 1907 vol 174 c467
MR. DOLAN (Leitrim, N.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will consent to the issue of a Return showing the names and occupations of the 666 deputy-lieutenants of Ireland.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell) There is no official record of the occupations of deputy-lieutenants. The names of these gentlemen are set out, by counties, in Thom's Official Directory. I do not see that any useful purpose would be served by the issue of a Parliamentary Return giving the names.
