HC Deb 09 May 1907 vol 174 c339
MR SHEEHY (Meath, S.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland what is the cause of the delay in issuing the Provisional Order for the money being granted for the labourers' scheme in the Dunshaughlin Union.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) Petitions against a portion of the Order in this case have been lodged with the Local Government Board and the County Court Judge. The Order has therefore been divided into two parts, relating to the opposed and unopposed portions of the scheme respectively. The loan relating to the unopposed Order can be issued as soon as the county council may apply for it, but no steps can taken in the other matter until the petitions have been adjudicated upon.
