HC Deb 08 May 1907 vol 174 c242
*CAPTAIN FABER

I beg to ask the Prime Minister whether his attention has been called to the fact that several State legislatures in America have passed Bills to prevent marriages taking place unless both parties are, in the opinion of a qualified physician, free from disease transmissible to their children; and whether he will consider the desirability of introducing a similar Bill here.

SIR H. CAMPBELL-BANNERMAN

I do not propose to undertake legislation on this subject this session.
