HC Deb 06 May 1907 vol 173 cc1321-2
MR. DELANY

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of † See (4) Debates, clxxi., 443. Ireland whether he can state what causes the delay in the sale of the Caldbeck estate, Ballacolla, Queen's County; and, in view of the fact that the agreements were signed so far back as December, 1904, and that four inspectors have since visited the property, will he see that steps are taken to expedite the sale.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Estates Commissioners are now in a position to make a formal proposal for the purchase of the estate referred to, and they hope to transmit their offer to the owner in the course of a few days.
