HC Deb 02 May 1907 vol 173 c1073
MR. DELANY (Queen's County, Ossory)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether, in view of the indeterminate condition of affairs in the Irish Agricultural Department, he will see that applications for increases in the salaries of the higher officials of the Department shall not be entertained pending the appointment of a successor to Sir Horace Plunkett.

MR. BIRRELL

I am not aware of any reaon why the administration of the Department should not pursue its ordinary course. I need, however, scarcely add that no such applications for increases of salary are at present under the consideration of the Department.
