SUMMERBELLTo ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he intends to issue a circular letter to boards of guardians and other local authorities, stating the Local Government Board's views as co what liabilities the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1906, places on such authorities; and what classes of officers stand in the relation of workmen within the meaning of the Act to such authorities.
§ (Answered by Mr. John Burns.) The Local Government Board have no power to determine what class of officers stand in the relation of workmen within the meaning of the Act to local authorities; but I propose to issue a circular drawing attention to its provisions.
