HC Deb 01 May 1907 vol 173 c863
MR. MITCHELL-THOMSON

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty who are the gentlemen forming the interdepartmental Committee which is considering the present position of the coastguard stations; what is the reference to the Committee; and when their Report may be expected.

MR. EDMUND ROBERTSON

The Conference was composed of officials representating the Admiralty, the Irish and Scottish Offices, the Board of Customs and the Board of Trade. There was no formal reference, but the subjects for discussion were outlined in an Admiralty letter laid before the Conference. The Report has been received, but has not yet been considered. When it has been considered, further information will be given.
