§ MAJOR ANSTRUTHER-GRAY (St. Andrews Burghs)I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty how many men are now employed at Rosyth; and what is the aggregate of their weekly wages.
§ MR. LAMBERTI assume the hon. Member refers only to workmen. There are nine employed directly by the Admiralty, the aggregate wages being £11 10s. This does not include engineering staff and men employed by a contractor in sinking an experimental cylinder.
§ MAJOR ANSTRUTHER-GRAYI beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty on what date the preliminary works at Rosyth, for which the estimated cost as revised was £165,000, were completed.
