§ SIR THOMAS ESMONDE (Wexford, N.)To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if the public trustee, appointed under the Land Purchase Act of 1903, can act as trustee in cases other than of sales under that Act.
§ (Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The public trustee is appointed solely for the purposes of the Land Purchase Acts, and I am advised that he cannot, as such, act as trustee of moneys other than the proceeds of sales under those Acts.
