REES (Montgomery Boroughs)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether the Government of India proposes to pass a measure for checking the destruction of birds in that country, the administrative order in force prohibit- 1796 ing the export of birds' feathers being insufficient to meet the case, inasmuch as it is inoperative at ports in native states and foreign possessions, and is subject at any time to be revised or cancelled.
