GULLAND (Dumfries Burghs)I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland whether he would grant, with regard to Scotland, a Return similar to that moved for by the Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department, dealing with the treatment of youthful offenders, specifying the number of young persons charged with offences, stating how far a system of probation might have been applied to their cases; and telling the steps taken in the court of each district to separate children from adult prisoners.
