O'SHAUGHNESSY (Limerick, W.)To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can say whether he has received a copy of a resolution adopted at a meeting of the Town Tenants' Association of Abbeyfeale protesting against the destruction of the trade and general interests of the town by the Great Southern and Western Railway Company through the insufficiency of loading and unloading accommodation at the railway premises there, and the want of a proper staff of men; and if he can say what action he intends to take in the matter.
§ (Answered by Mr. Birrell.) I have no record of the receipt of the resolution referred to. I am not sure that the complaint indicated in the Question is one with which any Department of the Irish Government has power to deal. If, however, full particulars of the matter complained of should be furnished to the Department of Agriculture, they will consider whether any action may be possible.
