§ MR. WALTER LONGTo ask the Secretary of State for War whether anything has been done to carry out the recommendation of the Committee on Civil Employment of ex-Soldiers and Sailors, embodied in their Report dated the 2nd July, 1906, to the effect that service in the Army or Navy of a satisfactory character which has not earned pension should reckon towards superannuation allowance in the case of men appointed to established positions in the Civil Service.
