HILLS (Durham)To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether any information or evidence exists in his Department respecting the beneficial effect of Colonial preference to British 1270 manufacturers and merchants; and, it so, will he publish such evidence or information before the Colonial Conference takes place.
§ (Answered by Mr. Lloyd-George.) Memoranda on the subject of Colonial preferential tariffs will be laid before the Colonial Conference, but no question of publication can arise until the Conference has had an opportunity of considering them.
