§ MR. W. PEARCE (Tower Hamlets, Limehouse)To ask the President of the Local Government Board if he will state which metropolitan parochial infirmaries have special wards for the treatment of cases of pulmonary tuberculosis; and can the Local Government Board encourage the establishment of such wards.
§ (Answered by Mr. John Burns.) In the majority of the metropolitan Poor Law infirmaries special wards are set aside for these cases. The general practice is to extend this system, and I desire to encourage it in every way in my power.
