§ MR. ASHLEYI beg to ask the President of the Board of Education what was the average cost per child accommodated in the new council schools erected in the county of Lancaster during the last year, including outlay upon sites, buildings, equipment, and sinking fund.
§ MR. McKennaI have no information as to the actual sums expended last year by the county council of Lancaster upon the provision of new schools, but if the hon. Member desires it I will ascertain the amount of the loans sanctioned for new schools, and the number of places provided in those schools.
