§ MR. HAYDENI beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether it is the practice of the Board of Works in Ireland to refuse to advance money for hay barns, etc., to tenants who have signed purchase agreements under the Land Act of 1903, until the sale is completed; and whether in view of the delay, extending over some years, between the agreement to purchase and the issue of the vesting order by the Land Commission, he will advise the Board of Works to abolish this practice.
§ MR. RUNCIMANIf the hon. Member will refer to the reply given by my predecessor to a similar Question on the 28th March last,‡he will find the practice of the Board of Works very clearly stated. Like my right hon. friend I do not think any change is called for.
