§ (Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) The hon. Member is apparently alluding to the extra week's leave granted for the extended training. As the latter is suspended, the necessity for the extra week has lapsed for the present.

SMITHTo ask the Secretary of State for War, whether Government employees, if called up for six months training on mobilisation under the new Army scheme, will have their appointments kept open for them and will be paid their salaries or wages during the time that their corps are under training or on active service.
