HC Deb 27 June 1907 vol 177 c94
MR. LYNCH (Yorkshire, W.R., Ripon)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has any official information to the effect that the Salar-ed-Dowleh, brother of the Shah, has taken refuge in the British Consulate at Kirmanshah, claiming asylum for himself and his family; and, if so, what course His Majesty's Government propose to take in the matter.

SIR EDWARD GREY

His Majesty's Minister at Tehran has reported that the Salar-ed-Dowleh, who had arrived at the British Consulate at Kermanshah with one follower, has now been handed over to the Governor of Hamadan on the receipt by His Majesty's Minister of a formal assurance as to his safety, given by the Persian Government.
