HC Deb 27 June 1907 vol 177 c106
MR. MOORE

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he is aware that Mr. A. H. Burnett, at a meeting at Banagher on 16th June, was denounced by the honourable Member for King's County, Birr Division, and that he advised the people to make Burnett sell certain lands and to make him shiver in his shoes; if the Lord Chancellor has received a complaint against the honourable Member in this connection as a justice of the peace, and if the Government have received reports thereon from the local police; and what action will be taken.

MR. BIRRELL

I am informed that the attention of the Lord Chancellor has been called to this matter and it is now under his consideration.
