HC Deb 26 June 1907 vol 176 c1367
MR. FIELD (, St. Patrick) Dublin

To ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether he will state what contravention of the Official Secrets Act necessitated the Comptroller and Auditor-General recently drawing the special attention of the members of his Department to certain office rules prohibiting information to the public press under pain of dismissal.

(Answered by Mr. Runciman.) I am not aware that there was any contravention of the Official Secrets Act.
