§ MR. WEIRI beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland, having regard to the fact that the Local Government Board for Scotland in their Report last year expressed the opinion that it was not possible for the duties attaching to the office of chief district medical officer in the Island of Lewis to be discharged by any one resident in Dingwall, will he state what steps have been taken by the Board to ensure the appointment, vacated some time since by Dr. Macrae, of Stornoway, being filled by a medical officer resident in the island.
