§ MR. RENDALL (Gloucestershire, Thornbury)I beg to ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, whether he is aware that certain local authorities have not received full information for the purpose of enabling them to discharge their duties in regard to the Sheep Dipping Order, 1907; will he say what circulars or instructions have been issued by the Board containing such information other than the order itself; whether he is aware that different local authorities are interpreting the order differently owing to the difficulties of understanding it; and whether ho will give directions for persons interested to be consulted with a view to the amendment of the Order.
§ THE TREASURER OF THE HOUSEHOLD (Sir EDWARD STRACHEY, Somersetshire, S.)Full information was given to all the local authorities concerned with the administration of the Order to which my hon. friend refers, and I shall be happy to supply him with copies of the Circular and Memorandum which we issued for the purpose. In a few cases local authorities, at the outset, placed an interpretation on the Order which did not accord with our own views, but all
