HC Deb 20 June 1907 vol 176 cc619-20
MR. BRIDGEMAN (Shropshire, Oswestry)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Education if the Education (Local Authority Default) Act, 1904, is now being enforced in any county in Wales or Monmouthshire; and, if not, whether all the local education authorities concerned are now fulfilling the financial †See (4) Debates, clxxii., 772 obligations imposed on them by the Act of 1902.

MR. McKENNA

The Answer to the first part of the hon. Member's Question is in the negative. As to the second part of the Question, I have no reason to suppose that the authorities concerned are failing to fulfil the financial obligations imposed on them.
