§ MR. BOLANDI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been called to the resolution adopted by the Cahirciveen Rural District Council, on the 6th instant, with reference to the construction of a pier at Cooscroum; and whether any, and if so, what steps will be taken by the Congested Districts Board to comply with the request contained in the resolution.
§ THE CHIEF SECRETARY FOR IRELAND (Mr. BIRRELL,) Bristol, N.I have received the resolution referred to, and the subject of it has been carefully considered by the Congested Districts Board. Having regard to the state of their funds, the Board find it impossible to undertake the construction of the proposed works at Cooscroum during the present year.
