HC Deb 17 June 1907 vol 176 c113
MR. BELLAIRS

To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty what was the proportion of orders for torpedoes allotted to Woolwich and Messrs. Whitehead, of Weymouth, respectively, for 1902–3 and 1903–4; and what is the proportion of orders this year.

(Answered by Mr. Lambert. )In 1902–3 the orders were allotted to Woolwich and Messrs. Whitehead approximately in the proportions of six to five. In the following year the orders were equally divided. In the present year, as has already been stated in reply to a Question on the 16th May, from the hon. Member for South Dorset, roughly three-quarters of the orders will be allotted to Woolwich and a quarter to Messrs. Whitehead.
