HC Deb 17 June 1907 vol 176 cc138-9
MR. J. P. FARRELL

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether any inspection of the O'Grady estate at Cam, Edgeworthstown, has yet taken place; whether he is aware that, in consequence of turbary disputes and the high price paid for the land, the tenants are now anxious for an inspection of the whole property; and will he, in the interests of the taxpayers, direct that such inspection will take place with a view to preventing a possible loss in the future on this transaction.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) No proceedings for the sale of this estate have been instituted before the Estates Commissioners, and therefore no occasion for making an inspection has arisen.
