HC Deb 17 June 1907 vol 176 c133
MR. J. DEVLIN

To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the fraudulent use of the word Belfast in connection with mineral waters manufactured in Canada and Cape Colony; and whether, seeing that the practice is calculated to inflict injury on the mineral water manufacturers of Belfast, he will say what action he proposes to take in the matter.

(Answered by Mr. Kearley.) This matter has not hitherto been brought to the notice of the Board of Trade, but, if the hon. Member will furnish them with details, my right hon. friend will consider whether the case is one in which action can properly be taken by the Board of Trade.
