To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what is the amount paid to the British Consul General in Egypt for salary and allowances.

(Answered by Mr. Runciman.) The amount is £6,500 per annum, as stated in the Estimate for Diplomatic Services. There are no additional allowances.
