HC Deb 13 June 1907 vol 175 c1613
MR. REDDY (Kings' County, Birr)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether it was with the authority of the Board of Public Works that the strip of ground, known as the Old Canal Banks, alongside the Shannon at Banagher, King's County, was closed against the public; and whether the ground in question had been used as a public park for over sixty years.

MR. RUNCIMAN

I understand that the piece of land in question is the Board's property, and is let for grazing to the Board's collector at Banagher. At no time has it been open to the public.
