§ *SIR FRANCIS POWELL (Wigan)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he proposes to submit to the Standing Committee B any Amendments to the Land Law (Ireland) Act Amendment Bill; and whether he proposes to give notice of them at an early date, in order that Members of the Committee may have due opportunity of considering them.
§ MR. BIRRELLAs the hon. Baronet is aware, the Bill referred to is not a Government measure. If the Government should decide to propose any Amendments due notice will be given, and hon. Members will have full opportunity of considering them.
