§ MR. FETHERSTONHAUGH (Fermanagh, N.)To ask the Secretary to the Treasury how long it is since the attention of the Treasury has been directed to Section 2 of The Purchase of Land (Ireland) Act, 1891; and how soon does he expect that the consultations of the Treasury with the other Departments interested will result in the formulation of rules or regulations to enable the section to be made available by those for whose benefit it was intended.
(Answered by Mr. Runciman.) The hon. Member called attention to this matter by his Question on 22nd April. The Treasury shortly afterwards addressed communications to the other Departments concerned, but have not yet received all the information necessary for a decision.
