HC Deb 10 June 1907 vol 175 cc1055-6
MR. JAMES O'KELLY

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that the Sarah Flannery Estate, near Strokes-town, county Roscommon, has been purchased by the Estates Commissioners and resold to the tenants, and that an exception has been made in the case of one of the tenants, named James Farrell, on the grounds that he had not paid his interest in time; and whether, seeing that Farrell has since offered to pay up all arrears and is now willing to do so, he will, under the circumstances, instruct the Commissioners to give this tenant the full benefit of the Act.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Estates Commissioners inform me that, since I answered the hon. Member's previous Question on this subject on 25th February, † they have received no application in the matter either from Farrell or the landlord. If such an application should be made to them they will give it due consideration
