§ CAPTAIN CRAIG (Down, E.)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether any financial contribution has been made by the War Office since the establishment of the camp at Ballykinlar, county Down, towards repairs to the road between Tullymurry Station and the camp, rendered necessary by the damage occasioned by heavy military traffic; and, if not, whether he will authorise a grant in aid of the local rates for this purpose.
§ MR. HALDANENo grant has been made for this purpose, but a proposal to make a grant towards the cost of improving the road is under consideration. The usual contribution in lieu of rates, including road expenses, is made by the Treasury.
