§ MR. W. T. WILSON (Lancashire, Westhoughton)To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether Mr. Burnett, chief labour correspondent to the Board, is retiring from that position; and, if so, what steps have been taken to fill the vacancy caused by his retirement.
(Answered by Mr. Kearley.) I regret to say that Mr. Burnett will shortly retire from the service of the Board of Trade. The question of appointing a successor is receiving careful consideration.
