HC Deb 04 June 1907 vol 175 c472
MR. BOLAND (Kerry, S.)

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether his attention has been called to the fruitless efforts of some Maltese shareholders in the American Exploration Mining Company of San Francisco to obtain information about La Fiesta Mine; and whether he will direct the British Consul for the district to find out whether such mine exists, and to send a report on the subject.

(Answered by Secretary Sir Edward Grey.) I am afraid it is not practicable to instruct British consuls to make inquiries on behalf of individual shareholders in foreign companies in order to correct or supplement the information given by the companies themselves.
