HC Deb 04 June 1907 vol 175 c491
MR. THORNE

I beg to ask the Postmaster - General whether ho will explain the diversity of treatment with regard to various grades of postal officials in relation to leave of absence for urgent domestic distress, in view of the fact that recently a telegraphist in the Central Office, London, was refused leave of absence by his deputy controller to attend the funeral of a near relative.

THE POSTMASTER GENERAL (Mr. SYDNEY BUXTON, Tower Hamlets, Poplar)

If the hon. Member will give me the particulars of the case to which he refers, I will have inquiry made.
