§ MAJOR ANSTRUTHER-GRAYTo ask the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the importance of our own troops being armed with the best type of bayonet and sword and the danger of being found unprepared, and the fact that it is now eighteen months since he reported that these matters were under consideration, he will take steps to accelerate the considerations of the experts to whom this duty has been entrusted.
§ MR. HALDANEExperimental bayonets have been issued for trial by the troops and are still under trial. Experimental swords of the pattern recommended by the Committee which considered the subject will shortly be issued to the troops for trial.
